The other day Jim hooked up the boxes so we’ll be ready when things switch to all digital! WOW! Talk about a clear picture! We’ve had satellite TV for years and receive the local channels off our antenna or rabbit ears. Some of the locals come in good, some of the time on some of the sets. It depended on the weather or which direction the rabbit ears were pointed. Anyway, I wish we would’ve hooked up the boxes as soon as we got them. The picture on all sets comes in perfect…on all the channels! There are even 5 other ones we couldn’t get before! One of them I really like is a PBS one called Create TV. Lots of cooking, gardening, traveling and arts & crafts and the cool thing is I can get it on any set in the house! No more Martha! No more Rachel…although she’s easier to watch than Martha.
Yesterday we went to F&F to look at snow blowers. That made the salesman laugh! They’re all sold out and won’t have anymore in this season! He’ll have to see if any other stores around here have any. Our snow blower is on it’s deathbed. I forgot my deep snow boots at the cabin, so I wanted to see if I could get something else. The selection was just about as bad as the snow blower selection! I ended up at Shopko and found a pair, just like the ones I have at the cabin. So one will stay here, the other up there. While at Shopko, I finished my Christmas shopping. We don’t have many to buy for, so it was easy. I give homemade Christmas cookies to my friends, neighbors and relatives. All I need to get are a few gift cards for our neighbors here and up north. They both keep an eye on our place when we’re gone and we really appreciate that.
I’m checking my list and see I still have many things to do. Cards, tree, cookies, gifts to wrap… I’m outta here!
