A Snowy Morning

Well, we got dumped on last night and this morning.  It looks like 6”-8” of fresh new snow.  And what better thing to do on a snowy Tuesday morning but bake Christmas cookies!  I baked a batch of Spritz cookies and they’re safely packed up and moved out to the frosty cold breezeway.  I’m always trying to look for the positive side in things and this is a nice part about winter.  We have unlimited freezer space!

Yesterday I got all my grocery and Walmart shopping done.  Tonight we’ll try out the new mattress pad heater.  It’s supposed to get down to 8 degrees, so it will be a good night to test it out.  I didn’t sleep good last night and was up before 5:00am.  It’s a rare morning that I’m the first one up…I had to ask Jim how many scoops of coffee he uses when he makes it.  It didn’t taste as good as his…I think he must using heaping scoops.  Mine tasted too weak…and I like my first cup to be good and strong.

Now I’m going to boot up and go help cleanup all that snow.  The way it’s going, I think I’m going to be able to use this smiley all winter long.
