Today is the day we've been waiting for since pre-season football started way back in August. After all the hoopla about Brett Favre, I'm glad this season is all behind us. Next year...yup, just you wait...next year will be better! As for today's game, I'm hoping the Cardinals win. I've got a soft spot in my heart for the Kurt Warner and any team that's considered the underdog.
Super Bowl Sunday has become almost as exciting as a holiday...for those of us that like football. What with all the parties, food and the excitement of the game and the commercials. How weird is that? Sometimes the commercials are better than the game. I've been looking around for some of the 3D glasses, but haven't been able to find any. So no 3D commercials for us.
Anyway, for our SBS dinner, I'm fixing our own Germanfest. Rouladen, red cabbage and spaetzel. I'm using this recipe for the rouladen. I cook it in a slow cooker, so it's more than a 30 minute meal. It's a darned good meal! Add a bottle of Reisling wine, some German beer and we're good to go!
