Blueberries!

Saturday we were at a 40th birthday party for the owner of a bar down the road from us. While sitting there talking to Mike the bear hunter, in strolls some cabin people friends we hadn't seen in ages. Had a great time at the party and talking with Barney & his wife Sharon. They were telling us about the blueberry patch right across the road from their cabin. They picked enough berries for breakfast and said we should stop and get some for ourselves. So that's just what we did yesterday afternoon.

WOW! I've never seen a blueberry patch like this one. It was very easy picking...especially if you did like Molly did. She laid herself down and just munched away at all the berries around her. Silly dog!

From what we could see only humans (and Molly) had been there picking. No sign of bears.

Except for this one.

Blueberry pancakes anyone? Oh my goodness...they were delish! We've got enough left for another round, so get in line, they'll go fast!

We had just this one unusual visitor last night. We've seen black squirrels around here before, but this is the first one in some time. See how nice it gets along with the bunnies. Big or small, feathery or furry, there's enough for all the critters at our feeders.
